A trip to Portugal, France and Spain at the age of 10 forever changed my life - and my view of the world. I've spent the years since wandering alone, with my family, and alongside friends to more than sixty countries across six continents. Along the way, I've worked in marketing and communications at Microsoft (Redmond, WA and Hong Kong), American Express (New York and London) and WE Communications (Bellevue, WA). Early in my career, I survived less conventional roles such as company representative/translator aboard Russian factory ships on the Bering Sea and government representative on a United States Information Agency (USIA) technology exhibit traveling around the former Soviet Union. Today, I am a freelance writer based in Seattle, Washington. Still on my travel wish list: every place I have not yet had the pleasure to explore.
